The event hosted by Let’s Recycle was a glorious success with over 40 mixed gender teams from the waste industry attending. This was CONTENUR’s first attendance, the team was put together by Ian Riggs, Engineering Manager at the Knowsley factory, and was a good mix of experience and youth!
Teams were divided into groups and then into knockout stages to determine the winners, CONTENUR, whilst performing admirably in their group games, ultimately lost in the knockout stages. They made an extremely valiant first attempt in the competition which featured some seriously high level and well drilled teams. The high-class team from Shred Station went on to win the competition, a regular winner of the trophy – they certainly set the standard for other teams to aspire to.
